Bank BNI Tbk (BBNI) disbursed IDR 1.35 trillion for Semarang-Solo toll road construction project by Jasa Marga Tbk (JSMR). This is part of syndicated loans for a number of banks worth IDR 5.1 trillion.
Achmad Baiquni, President Director of BBNI, said that the syndication financing is a solution for financing infrastructure projects that require substantial funds and difficult to meet individual banks due to the Legal Lending Limit (BMPK). “BNI prepares financing up to IDR 15 trillion for Jasa Marga and its subsidiaries,” said Baiquni. The financing to infrastructure sector as of August 2017 reached IDR 88.99 trillion, with the dominant share in the electricity sector by 28.8 percent and toll roads and construction by 28.4 percent.
The 72.65 km Semarang-Solo toll road concession is owned by Trans Marga Jateng, a subsidiary of JSMR, with a project value of IDR 7.31 trillion. Syndicated members in this project are Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI), Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI), Bank Jateng, and Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI).
Semarang-Solo Toll consists of five segments, namely Semarang-Ungaran, Ungaran-Bawen, Bawen-Salatiga, Salatiga-Boyolali, and Boyolali-Kartasura. Semarang-Ungaran segment has been operating since November 2011 while Ungaran-Bawen in April 2014. Bawen-Salatiga segment has just finished its construction and was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on September 25, 2017.
On Monday (25/9), BBNI rose 0.33 percent to IDR 7,500. (*)
