WSKT Postpones 10 Toll Roads Divestment

Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT) has postponed the divestment of ten toll roads owned by its subsidiary Waskita Toll Road. The delay was made because the offers from potential investors have not met the targets set by the company.

Shastia Hadiarti, Corporate Secretary of WSKT, said that the company will review the divestment scheme of the toll road segments.

The company opened the tender for ten Trans Java toll road segments, including Kanci-Pejagan, Pejagan-Pemalang, Batang-Semarang, Solo-Ngawi, and Ngawi Kertosono segments in August. WSKT hopes the financial close process can be achieved in September 2017.

The divestment is one of the infrastructure financing options with a target of around IDR 7 trillion. The company requires IDR 110 trillion to build new projects.

Until the first week of September 2017, the company booked a new contract worth IDR 43 trillion. Most of the new contracts derived from toll road development projects. WSKT is targeting to reach IDR 60 trillion. (*)
