Matahari Kapital Indonesia (MKI) owns 43 percent shares of Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk (META) after acquiring META from Eagle Infrastructure Fund Limited (EI) and Hijau Makmur Sejahtera (HMS). The acquisition value is estimated to reach IDR 1.78 trillion.
Eagle Infrastructure Fund and Hijau Makmur Sejahtera are companies under Rajawali group owned by Peter Sondakh. MKI’s affiliates have not been known yet. The company is allegedly owned by a large conglomerate group.
According to Dahlia Evawani, Corporate Secretary of META, EI released 3.4 billion shares or 22 percent ownership in META to MKI on September 11, 2017. The stock sales were done in the framework of internal restructuring. Meanwhile, HMS on September 12, 2017, sold 3.2 billion or 21 percent to MKI.
Transactions in the negotiating market are conducted by the broker of BCA Sekuritas and Credit Suisse Sekuritas Indonesia. The average selling price reached IDR 270 or premium 31 percent compared to the highest price last year.
Post transaction, META’s shareholders became MKI with 6.6 billion shares or 43 percent and public shareholders with 8.6 billion shares or 57 percent. On Wednesday (13/9), META declined 6.9 percent to IDR 163. (*)
